Hot & Cold Towels have now become a standard part of the cabin services provided by airlines. Traditionally these have always been a reusable product but due to rising costs and the need for increased efficiency more and more airlines are turning to disposables. Consequently there is a vast range of materials to choose from e.g. air laid papers, non woven fabrics to 100% cotton terry towels. Each of these materials has something unique to offer. But it is not just a simple case of choosing which material best suits your needs.

Firstly, you have to consider what packing format best suit your aircraft seating configurations, so as to avoid under or over utilisation of the towels. What type of packaging is required, plastic, aluminium foil or paperboard bearing in mind the environmental issue? Does the packaging best utilise the space available on your aircraft for storage? Is the packaging colour co-ordinated to match the rest of your equipment? Do you require the towels perfumed, if so what type of fragrance?
