Sustainability is in our nature

At Horsleys, we are committed to reducing waste and supporting our clients with the ongoing demand for more ethical and sustainable practices.

We are always exploring the latest innovation in airline cleaning and hygiene products and have recently introduced a number of products that help our clients make a better choice for their business and for our planet.

Our multi-purpose products reduce the need for several individual items, our new vinyl gloves are ethically sourced and we now offer compostable products to greatly reduce the amount of plastic waste from high volume disposable products.

Products aside, we aim to make our internal operations as sustainable as possible and have outlined how Horsleys are making a difference in our sustainability policy.

Horsleys Sustainability Policy

Sustainability is important to our business and to our clients. At Horsleys we endeavour to:

  • Recycle as much waste material as possible from day to day activities and ensure our manufacturing partners do the same.
  • Provide a safe and healthy workplace and working environments.
  • Minimise the use of paper wherever possible: for example, sending invoices and quotes via email instead of on paper.
  • Recycling equipment that is no longer of use to the company. For example, we give away items such as computers and printers that we no longer use.
  • Ensuring that all green and natural waste is disposed of according to industry standards ad strong environmental principles.
  • Keep energy usage low. For example, we make use of low energy light bulbs throughout and ensure that computers are shut down after work.
  • Being an environmentally responsible neighbour in our community, both during site works and in the wider context.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel by making use of instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, telephone and email.
  • Working with suppliers who promote sound environmental practices where possible.
  • Reuse waste paper (from the printer) where possible, making use of the blank side for notes.
  • Purchase products made with recycled paper.
  • Introduce and promote sustainable products to our core range.
  • Research and develop new technologies to enable supply of sustainable products in the future.
